On April 14 in China's Qinghai Province, a 7.1 earthquake killed thousands and injured tens of thousands. The earthquake destroyed 95% of the buildings in the city of Jyekundo including Thrangu monastery. To help earthquake victims reach the pure land of Amitabha, we have scheduled a "Amitabha" puja from 2:30pm to 3:30pm on this coming Sunday led by Lama Tenzin. For the Chinese Ching-Ming Festival, we will conduct the Amitabha Puja and Tsok, paying respect to our ancestors and deceased relatives and friends on 4/4 (Sunday). Lama Tenzin will continue his teachings of Gampopa's The Jewel Ornament of Liberation from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, every Sunday from Nov. 5 to Dec. 10.
October's group practice for Mingyur Rinpoche's 2nd year retreat has been moved to Oct. 15 from 10am to 11:30am. Also, future practice dates have been moved from the 3rd Sunday of each month, to the 3rd Saturday of each month.

You are invited to a public teaching on Sat. 8/12/06 from 10am to 11:30am given by Tai Situ Rinpoche's Executive Secretary - Lama Tenam.
On 02/15/06, at the request of the Samye Ling Tibetan Campin in Old Delhi, the 12th Kenting Tai Situpa performed the Grand Empowerment of Ta Chag Kgyungsum with transmission of the Chenrey Zik Mantra and the Guru Rinponche Mantra.
From 01/07/06 to 01/17/06, the 10 Days Grand Puja (Thukje Sangdu Drubchen) occurred at Palpung SherabLing, India. At the end of this Puja, the grand empowerment of Thukje Sandu occurred, and the 12th Kenting Tai Situpa performed the Red Crown Ceremony outside the main building.
On 12/31/05, the 12th Chamgon Tai Situ Rinpoche appointed a new Khenpo for the Benchen Monastery, the seat of His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche's lineage.
From 12/23/05 to 12/31/05, His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche
started to give the detail teachings on Mahayana Uttra Tantra to the Sangha of Palpung
Sherabling. Continuation of this teaching will occur again next year.
On 11/30/05, His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa
Rinpoche returned to Palpung Sherabling from
Sidhbhari, Dharamsala, and on the 2nd of December
continued to give the oral transmission of Rinchen
Terzod by His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche to the 12th Tai
Situpa Rinpoche and all the Rinpoche's and Sangha of
Palpung Sherabling, which was a continuation of the year 2004
transmissions (completed the 20th of December).
On 11/29/05, our resident Lamas, and Lama Karma Tenzin, arrived from SherabLing, India. Lama Tenzin, who has completed the 3 year and 3 month retreat twice, had been the resident Lama at Kinnor Monastery, a branch of Palpung Monastery in India for 4 years.
On 10/29/05, His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche
arrived at the Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat and on
30th of October His Eminence Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche
also arrived. Both Eminences spent a few days with
the 12th Tai Situpa Rinpoche and on the 1st of
November, Jamgon Rinpoche and Nyenpa Rinpoche left to
Gyutoe Monastery where His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa
Orgyen Trinley Dorje is residing. On the 29th of November, His Eminence Goshri
Gyaltsab Rinpoche took time from his busy schedule and spent
the day with the 12th Tai Situpa Rinpoche.
