Event - Public Teaching, 8/12/06, by Lama Tenam
You are invited to a public teaching on Sat. 8/12/06 from 10am to 11:30am given by Tai Situ Rinpoche's Executive Secretary - Lama Tenam who graduated 1st place in both his undergraduate and graduate Buddhist classes. Lama Tenam became a monk when he was 8 years old. Over the years, he has received all necessary monastic training from many Kagyu Lineage masters including the Very Venerable Tenzin Gyaltsen Rinpoche -- one of the teachers to the current H.H. The Dalai Lama. With the Blessing of the 12th Tai Situ Rinpoche, Lama Tenam joined the Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat of Palpung congregation in 1983 after completing his graduate school studies at Varanasi Sanskrit University. His first assignment there was teaching young monks Tibetan. In 1985, Lama Tenam spent 6 months in the Philippines with the Very Venerable Saljay Rinpoche who is the teacher of many great High Lamas and the retreat master of Palpung Sherabling Monastery. After returning from the Philippines, Lama Tenam has been serving Tai Situ Rinpoche, the great living Boddhisattva and Buddha of Future, as his personal executive secretary and has received many lineage transmissions from Rinpoche. Lama Tenam also served H.H. the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa from 2000 to 2002 and rececived many personal instructions from His Holiness. As the representative of Palpung Sherabling Monastery, Lama Tenam gave a speech during the Grammy Awards ceremony on 2/8/2004 when the Palpung Sherabling CD won the Traditional Music Award of 2004. His picture was published around the world the next day. Lama Tenam will be teaching "The Beauty of Confusion" which will be very beneficial for all of us.
